If you are thinking about getting started in an online business but are worried that you don't have a large budget to kick things off well think again. Internet marketing has opened up so many opportunities for so many people and although having a healthy budget to work with may help to fast track your results there is absolutely no reason why you cannot start work and be earning some cash without having to spend a dime.
The easiest and probably the most well known method for achieving this is what is referred to as 'bum' marketing. This phrase was coined by Travis Sago, simply because with this method he was confident that he could take a bum off the street into a public library and show him the steps needed to succeed and he would be earning money without having to spend any money of his own, which he probably didn't have any of anyway!
This method or system involves selecting a product to promote from affiliate networks such as Clickbank or Commission Junction and writing a series of helpful articles on the product's subject. The key is to choose the right keywords for the article titles so that people searching for your chosen product are going to see your articles when they do a search in any of the search engine.
Once you have a few articles written it is time to submit those articles to article directories such as this one. Now this is where you can either choose to spend a few dollars on a suitable domain name and hosting and set up a blog or website to direct your article traffic to or use a free service such as Google's Blogger or Wordpress.com.
Obviously it looks more professional when you send these visitors to your own domain with a nicely set up site but to get the ball rolling there is no reason why you can't start with using the free services. Once you have made a couple of sales you can then invest that money back into your own business and purchase a suitable domain name for your chosen product and set up some website hosting.

From my experience it really is the best way of getting a feel for internet marketing and the best thing is it doesn't cost a cent if you don't want to spend it!
